GPS will be working with Allied Beverage Tanks in the US, who will be our agents for the keg. Sharing the stand with ABT at the show this year gave us a real insight into the potential the US market holds for UK companies and we were blown away with the enthusiasm shown by both established and new start up breweries.
Our cask has been in the US for nearly 15 months now, being marketed by UK Brewing Supplies who sell the casks. We have just started to supply Keg Craft who are an established Keg rental company. Managing Director at Keg Craft, Ben Shipper, has seen the Cask Ale market increase steadily in the USA and sees this as an opportunity to enter the market as the only US company offering 9 gallon casks (Firkins) to rent.
We have already booked our spot for next year’s show in Washington and would encourage any UK company looking to develop into the US market to seriously look at attending, whether as an exhibitor or just visiting. Assistance and possible grant funding can be obtained for attending the show through the BFBI.
